Points and Miles

Citibank was smart with how they designed the Citi PremierMiles card. It’s one of the most efficient travel credit cards out there. It’s definitely a must have for any mileage collector. With a decent point-to-mile ratio at PHP30.00: 1Premier mile and a plethora of benefits to boot, this credit card makes earning and redeeming airmiles incredibly efficient.

What it lacks in bonuses and multipliers, it makes up for in consistency. You don’t need to be overseas, buying electronics, or purchasing airline tickets to get the full number of miles for your purchase. Its point-to-mile ratio is universal and is one of the most pleasing things about this card.

Premier Miles can be treated as 1 whole airline mile in select partners. One of the most prominent being KrisFlyer. Doing away with the conversion from points to miles makes it even more attractive to mileage collectors, as they’re sure that 100% of the points that they collect using this card can be used to redeem airline miles.

Our Thoughts

The Citi PremierMiles is one of our most used credit cards. It provides a much-needed consistency and absolute conversion which is appreciated in select airlines. We prefer using this when booking with one of our favorite airlines, Singapore Airlines.

As mentioned above, 1 Premier Mile is equal to 1 KrisFlyer mile. This makes using premier miles as Krisflyer miles and then transferring it to other Star Alliance members is one of the most efficient ways to effectively use your miles.

Their recent promotion is one of the best we’ve had in the Philippines. The 30,000 Premier Miles upon PHP40,000 spent using the card within 60 days of activation.

Aside from that, the rewards program of Citibank is known worldwide and that means you can access their rewards, promos, and discounts anywhere in the world. You’ll be bombarded with exclusive deals left and right—not just for airline tickets, but for dining, hotel accommodations, and many more!

Through the Citi Mobile App, many activities that used to be a hassle to do were made available all at the end of your thumb. Back this up with the numerous exclusive benefits that Citibank provides, and you have one of the most versatile and consistent travel credit card there is.
